Employee Charge Accounts

For a convenience and privilege of employment with Stanly Community College, the Stanly Community College Bookstore will allow full-time employees of the College the ability to have charge accounts in the Bookstore.

Q. What is the employee charge account? 

A. The employee charge account is a way for employees to charge items in the Bookstore and pay later. 

Q. How much can I spend? 

A. Employees will have a maximum amount of $500.00. 

Q. How will I know how much money I owe on my account? 

A. As you make transactions in the Bookstore, information is sent down to the Business Office. The Business Office will place these amounts on your account. By the 25th of each month, you will receive a statement of your balance on your account through your stanly.edu email account. 

Q. When do I pay my account? 

A. Employees can go to the Stanly Community College Business Office or through Self Service and pay their account. Accounts must be paid by the 5th of each month. For balances under $50.00, the account must be paid in full. For balances over $50.00, a minimum payment of 10% is due by the 5th of each month. 

Q. What happens if my account becomes past due? 

A. In the event that an employee's account becomes 90 days past due, the amount will be forwarded over to Payroll by the Business Office. The full amount will be deducted from the employee's next payroll check. In the event that this happens, the employee's charge account will be terminated in the Bookstore.
